Senior Electrical Engineer

Overview

Senior Electrical Design Engineer leading data centre projects across the EMEA region, owning delivery from concept through handover. You will work autonomously, applying technically deep expertise and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams. You will serve as the principal client contact, ensuring quality, scope alignment and timely outcomes. You will mentor junior staff and prepare comprehensive tender packages. This role offers the chance to influence critical data centre infrastructure at regional scale.

Responsibilities

• Project Leadership & Delivery: own delivery from concept to final handover, meeting deadlines and client expectations
• Technical Authority: design and specify primary systems, with ongoing quality checks throughout the lifecycle
• Client & Stakeholder Management: act as principal contact with clients, architects, and project managers; define project scope with design team and client
• Team Management & Mentoring: lead and coordinate a support team; mentor staff for professional development
• Tender Management: produce comprehensive tender packages with reports, analysis, and recommendations
• Quality Assurance: enforce internal design standards and QA before final issue

Key requirements

• Deep technical knowledge in electrical design for data centres, plus broad knowledge of related services (Mechanical, BMS/EPMS, Security, CSA)
• Strong understanding of key design standards and codes (CIBSE, BS, IS, EN)
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, REVIT, Bluebeam
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Experience with engineering analysis software is advantageous
