Overview

In this role you will lead the development and ongoing improvement of International Consumer Banking’s business and operational resilience in London, ensuring critical services can withstand disruptions. You will align capabilities with firmwide frameworks, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices while influencing senior stakeholders across technology, operations, and risk. You’ll drive risk assessments, scenarios, and continuous improvements to protect important business services. This is an opportunity to shape resilience program strategy, champion a culture of preparedness, and deliver measurable resilience outcomes at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement resilience capabilities for ICB aligned with firmwide and UK regulatory expectations.
  • Own and enhance the resilience operating framework, including BC planning, scenario testing, exercising, and continuous improvement for critical services.
  • Lead risk and impact assessments across end-to-end processes, identifying vulnerabilities and dependencies and driving remediation actions.
  • Support governance of important business services, mapping, impact tolerance setting, and oversight of testing results.
  • Serve as primary liaison for senior leaders and control partners, providing expert resiliency guidance and facilitating decision-making.
  • Develop executive reporting on resiliency risks, control effectiveness, test outcomes, and remediation progress; escalate issues and track closure.
  • Promote a culture of resiliency through awareness, training, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead incident response preparedness and execution for disruptive events, including lessons learned, corrective actions, and regulatory communications where applicable.
  • Manage and support regulatory engagements, audits, and internal governance related to resiliency.

Key requirements

  • Significant experience in business resiliency, operational resilience, risk management, or business continuity in a regulated financial services environment.
  • Ability to develop and execute resiliency initiatives across complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including influencing senior leaders and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to translate risk assessments into measurable resilience outcomes.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities and perform during incidents and time-sensitive regulatory deliverables.
  • Experience supporting audits and regulatory engagements.
