As a Senior PHP Engineer at Lendable, you’ll help shape the future of a fast-growing fintech platform that serves UK and US markets. You’ll work within a vibrant tech org of 160+ engineers, building and integrating APIs, and optimizing lending systems. You’ll participate in architectural discussions and drive practical, high-impact solutions. Responsibilities

• Build and integrate new APIs to enhance the customer journey
• Optimize and evolve lending platforms and systems
• Engage in architectural discussions to shape product direction
• Deliver high-quality code with robust automated tests
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams to solve complex problems
• Own features end-to-end from design through deployment in production

Key requirements

• PHP 8.0+
• Experience with Symfony or Laravel
• Strong automated testing skills (unit, integration, functional)
• Domain Driven Design, Message-Driven Systems, Event Sourcing is a plus
• Familiarity with microservices and working on financial systems is a bonus
• Ownership mindset and autonomy
• Cross-functional collaboration experience is a plus
