Data Science Manager

Overview

As Data Science Manager, you will lead data science teams to design, develop, and deploy ML/AI solutions that solve complex financial services challenges. You will drive adoption of cutting-edge technologies like generative AI, LLMs, and agentic AI frameworks, aligning technical outcomes with business strategy. You’ll provide thought leadership across the data science lifecycle and coach engineers to foster innovation and excellence. You’ll work closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable, measurable value and help Capco advance its data practice for Tier 1 clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead data science teams to design, develop, and deploy advanced ML/AI solutions
• Drive adoption of generative AI, LLMs, and agentic AI frameworks
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to align outcomes with strategic goals
• Provide thought leadership and best practices across the data science lifecycle (exploration to deployment)
• Mentor and develop data professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence

Key requirements

• Proven experience leading data science or AI project delivery from concept to production
• Strong Python skills and core ML libraries (spaCy, NumPy, SciPy, Transformers)
• Understanding of big data and cloud technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Deep expertise in MLOps, scalable deployment, and model governance
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, translating insights into business value
