Site Manager required in Essex

Overview

As a Site Manager in Essex, you will lead refurbishment and fit-out projects for an established main contractor. You will be the face of the business on-site, driving quality, safety, and delivery across industrial, education, and commercial sectors. This role requires regional travel and occasional overnight stays to manage projects up to £2m. You’ll work autonomously, coordinating with clients and subcontractors to ensure successful project outcomes and growth of the regional team.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site delivery of refurbishment and fit-out projects across industrial, education, and commercial sectors
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and design teams
• Manage project scope, quality, safety, schedule, and budget with a strong emphasis on site discipline
• Travel to project sites and stay away when needed, representing the business on-site
• Function as the no.1 on-site manager, ensuring compliance and timely issue resolution

Key requirements

• Experience on refurbishment or fit-out projects in relevant sectors
• Willingness to travel and stay away if required
• Proven track record with a well-established main contractor
• Experience as the lead on-site manager (no.1)
• SMSTS, CSCS Card, First Aid
• Trade background preferred but not essential
