Overview
In this Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager role, you will provide senior-level tax guidance to owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth individuals. You will work closely with owners, shareholders, and private clients to deliver strategic tax planning and help shape the firm’s growing advisory offerings. The position involves leading complex advisory projects, from restructures to employee incentive schemes, and managing HMRC enquiries. You’ll mentor juniors and contribute to business development while benefiting from hybrid working and clear progression in a fast-growing, people-focused practice.

Responsibilities
- Advise owner-managed businesses on corporate, shareholder and personal tax matters
- Lead complex advisory projects including restructures and reorganisations
- Advise on employee incentive arrangements and share schemes
- Provide property tax planning and structuring advice
- Support succession planning, exit planning and ownership transitions
- Deliver inheritance tax planning advice (trusts, estates, family investment company matters)
- Manage HMRC enquiries and tax risks
- Support, coach and mentor junior team members
- Contribute to growth and development of the tax advisory service offering
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for further advisory work
Key requirements
- CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified
- Strong experience advising owner-managed businesses
- Broad exposure across corporate, personal and shareholder tax matters
- Commercial mindset with proactive client advisory
