In this role you will shape the future of Systems products within the defence and security arena. You will lead product strategy and roadmaps, influencing programmes and technical standards to meet future customer needs. You’ll drive architectural proposals and ensure alignment with GMA/GSA strategies, collaborating with UK and international stakeholders. This is a strategic, impact‑driven opportunity to help define scalable, cost‑effective solutions in a dynamic, cross‑functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver product strategies
• Influence roadmaps, policies and technical standards
• Ensure compliance with GMA/GSA strategies
• Ensure products are cost effective, deliverable and meet future capability requirements
• Lead and shape proposals for architectural solutions to project acceptance
• Influence programmes to adopt product line development
• Collaborate with stakeholders in the UK and internationally
• Develop and maintain relationships with academia, SMEs and potential suppliers

Key requirements

• Experience in design and development of electronics, preferably in defence
• Ability to understand technology and its potential uses
• Strategic thinker with strong influencing skills across peer groups and senior management
• Demonstrated experience in defining product strategies and roadmaps
• Ability to shape proposals for architectural solutions to acceptance
• Clear and concise engineering documentation writing and presentation skills
