Finance Manager (FCA environment exp)

Overview

In this role you will lead the UK finance function within a fast-growing, internationally focused digital trading business. You will oversee day-to-day finance operations, management reporting, and statutory accounting for multiple entities, while collaborating with senior stakeholders across functions. The position offers involvement in FCA reporting, audits, and process improvements within a hybrid London setting. You will help shape financial controls and drive efficiency as part of the senior management team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quarterly FCA reporting
• Oversee end-to-end finance operations for in-scope entities
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Comment on balance sheet movements and reconciliations
• Drive continuous improvements to financial processes, automation, reporting and controls
• Ensure statutory reporting deadlines are met for all entities (annual accounts, tax filings)
• Manage the audit process with external auditors and prepare schedules
• Lead and develop a team of assistant accountants
• Assist the Financial Controller in leading the UK finance function and identifying efficiency/growth opportunities
• Contribute to key finance projects and handle ad hoc duties as needed

Key requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent)
• Up to five years post-qualification experience
• Experience at a Top 10 accounting firm or large international business
• Strong academic record (2:1 or above)
• Good IT skills; experience with SUN Systems and/or Workday Financials advantageous
• Interest in the global economy
