Director, Product Data Analyst Team

Overview

In this role, you lead a four-analyst Product Data Analytics team within a broader Product Insights function, driving data-informed decisions that shape product strategy. You collaborate with multiple VP/SVP leaders to align analytics with company priorities and deliver timely, impactful insights. You’ll guide complex cross-functional initiatives, elevate data empowerment, and introduce AI-driven ways of working to advance analytics maturity. Responsibilities

• Strategic alignment with product groups to prioritize analyses and monitoring
• Direct the execution of cross-functional initiatives delivering actionable insights
• Lead and develop a team of four analysts with clear OKRs and mentorship
• Enhance data empowerment across product lines through training and tools
• Collaborate with product research and leadership to advocate for insights-driven decisions

Key requirements

• Proficiency in statistical analysis, data modeling, and data visualization
• Experience with SQL, DBT, Excel, Tableau (or similar tools)
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
• Strong communication skills for reporting and presentations
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders
• People management experience or potential to lead a small team
• Understanding of business strategy and aligning data analysis with business goals
• Prior experience as a data analyst with a business or engineering degree
