Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Overview

In this role you will maintain and repair critical electrical systems across multiple facilities in a high-security airport environment. You will lead planned and reactive maintenance to maximise uptime and safety, collaborating with cross-functional teams and using CMMS to manage work records. The position focuses on reliable power, lighting, control panels, and emergency systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role offers a strong emphasis on safety, efficiency, and hands-on fault resolution, with a clear impact on airport operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform fault diagnostics, routine inspections, and reactive repairs on power systems, lighting, control panels, motors, distribution boards, and emergency systems
• Respond rapidly to electrical breakdowns to minimise impact across airport facilities
• Manage work records using CMMS or handheld devices
• Isolate electrical systems safely, issue Permits to Work, and complete RAMS per safety standards
• Support multi-disciplinary maintenance teams with cross-functional building services and mechanical checks where needed

Key requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or C&G 2360 / 2330 / 2365 equivalent)
• BS 7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
