Senior Formulation Scientist

Overview

In this role you drive the development and manufacturing of solid-dose vaccine formulations within a biotech setting focused on global health impact. Responsibilities

• Execute formulation development and manufacturing activities in the laboratory for assigned projects
• Lead, plan and execute laboratory-based experimentation on vaccine formulation development projects
• Develop and optimize stable solid vaccine formulations for internal and external projects
• Contribute to scalable, practical manufacturing processes for solid-dose vaccines
• Mentor junior colleagues and support project reporting

Key requirements

• Degree or higher in biological sciences
• Proven experience in formulation development projects for biologic materials, ideally vaccines
• Experience in formulation techniques such as freeze-drying, spray drying, and powder blending, and knowledge of DoE approaches for formulation design
