Site Manager (Construction)

Overview

As Site Manager you will lead day-to-day site operations on a large design-and-build project in Cardiff for a well-established main contractor. You will drive the programme, coordinate subcontractors and maintain high standards of safety, quality and site presentation. You’ll work closely with the Project Manager, design team and commercial team to meet key milestones and manage inspections, snagging and handover. The role focuses on delivering a high-profile scheme while building strong relationships with client, consultants and supply chain. This is a long-term opportunity within a contractor with a healthy workload in South Wales.

• Manage day-to-day site operations and coordinate subcontractors

• Build effective relationships with the client, consultants and supply chain

Key requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager for a main contractor
• Experience on construction projects valued at 10m+
• Previous design-and-build project experience
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
• Sound knowledge of construction programmes, quality control and health and safety
• Relevant qualifications including SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid
