Site Agent / Manager – Civil Engineering

Overview

You will lead a key package of marine/civil works on a major Dover project, ensuring safe, high-quality delivery by a direct delivery team. In this role, you’ll coordinate planning, resource allocation and schedules while upholding stringent safety and environmental standards. You’ll work closely with project management, engineering and subcontract teams to drive progress and maintain high performance on site. The opportunity combines hands-on leadership with exposure to coastal infrastructure in a growing contractor environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage site teams and direct delivery workforce
• Oversee civil engineering and marine/coastal works delivery
• Supervise concrete, demolition and related civils activities
• Promote a proactive health & safety culture
• Plan, programme and resource works to meet project requirements
• Coordinate site activities to deliver to programme
• Manage temporary works and underground services
• Collaborate with project management, engineering and subcontract teams
• Ensure quality, safety and environmental standards are maintained
• Provide strong leadership to create a high-performing site environment

Key requirements

• Proven track record of delivering complex civil engineering projects
• Experience leading civil engineering site teams
• Experience managing health & safety compliance on major projects
• Experience working with a direct delivery workforce
• Strong planning and programming capability
• CSCS card relevant to the role
• SMSTS
• Temporary Works Supervisor/Coordinator qualification
• Crane Appointed Person qualification
• HSG47 / underground services experience
• First Aid qualification
