Overview
In this role you partner with site leads and HR colleagues to align DC people priorities with the global/regional People Plan, addressing issues before they escalate. You’ll lead manager enablement and talent conversations within a manufacturing context, and collaborate with employee representation forums and Works Councils to foster a positive work environment. You will navigate shift-based operations, working time, safety and labor-law requirements to ensure compliant, people-centric outcomes. You join a data-driven HR function that champions Google’s culture and values to develop and retain top talent.
Responsibilities
- Partner with regional People Consultant BP to align DC initiatives with global/regional plan
- Lead interventions based on site feedback (e.g., Googlegeist) to mitigate issues early
- Run onsite manager enablement sessions focusing on performance, compensation, and talent development
- Collaborate with employee representation forums and Works Councils to foster collaboration
- Navigate DC operational nuances (shift management, working time, safety, labor law)
- Drive cohesive people strategy with UK HR to support the DC
- Advocate for data-driven people decisions and transparent communication to Googlers
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 6 years of HRBP, People Consulting, or HR Generalist experience
- Experience with labour relations and UK employment law
