Senior Mechanical Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer in our London office, you lead and shape a range of building services projects from concept to completion. You will contribute specialist knowledge, drive high-quality design, and mentor junior staff within a collaborative studio that values environmental responsibility. You’ll work closely with clients and project teams to translate complex requirements into actionable engineering solutions. This role offers the freedom to influence the design process and make a genuine impact in a forward-thinking, award-winning practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain a portfolio of projects from conception through to completion
• Provide specialist mechanical engineering expertise across projects
• Coordinate and mentor junior staff within the team
• Contribute to the design process and decision-making alongside clients and project teams

Key requirements

• +5 years’ experience in building services design running projects from conception through to completion (calculations, drawings, specifications)
• Chartered engineer or working towards chartered status
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
• Experience with design software such as IES, Hevacomp and Revit
• Excellent verbal and written communication to articulate complex issues to clients and project teams
• Ambition, diligence, and strong organizational skills
