Overview
In this role you will lead specialized psychiatric assessment and treatment for children and young people within CAMHS in East Sussex. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan personalised care, aligning with NICE guidelines and regional services. You will participate in a broader consultant network and governance activities, contributing to service development and transformation. Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality specialist clinical assessments and investigations for children, young people and families
- Develop and deliver individually tailored treatment plans in collaboration with the MDT
- Work within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, psychologists, family therapists and child psychotherapists
- Engage in trust-wide consultant networks, peer meetings and clinical governance activities
- Contribute to service transformation and quality improvement initiatives
- Support and participate in participation strategies involving patients and carers
Key requirements
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
- Fully registered with the GMC with licence to practise at time of appointment
- Included on GMC Specialist Register or within six months
- Approved clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months
- Valid UK driving licence or alternative arrangement
- Excellent knowledge in specialty and strong bio-psycho-social clinical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication in English
- Willingness to participate in teaching, CPD, research or service evaluation
- Ability to work in and lead a team and engage in shared leadership
