Overview

In Tescou2019s Order Fulfilment team, you will own a complex API/engineering component and drive its strategy and delivery. You will shape the vision, roadmap, and align priorities across multiple teams. You will define success measures (OKRs) and track product adoption. You will apply omni-channel retail domain knowledge to surface opportunities and refine requirements. You will lead MVP discovery and work with delivery teams to prototype and deliver value with quality and security.

Responsibilities

  • Own a complex API/engineering platform component and drive its strategy and execution
  • Formulate vision, strategy and roadmap with cross-team alignment
  • Define success metrics (OKRs) and monitor product adoption
  • Assess opportunities using omni-channel retail and order management knowledge
  • Coordinate product efforts with multiple products and delivery teams
  • Create and maintain a prioritized backlog; write user stories; groom backlog
  • Lead sprint and release planning to maximise business value
  • Improve performance, service levels, quality, reliability, and security
  • Lead MVP discovery for new features; prototype and validate MVPs
  • Break down complex work into epics and deliverable chunks; manage risk and impediments
  • Be accountable for product performance and customer growth
  • Collaborate in a team-oriented, pragmatic, curious, customer-first environment

Key requirements

  • Articulate complex product strategy in terms of consumer and business value
  • Experience with agile methodologies and ceremonies
  • Experience in defining user stories, backlog grooming, sprint planning and estimation
  • Think conceptually across platforms (web, mobile, tablets, store apps)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to simplify complex concepts
  • Experience managing external agency work to meet standards
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Proven success solving unstructured problems, creating MVPs, running experiments, and using data to drive decisions
  • Knowledge of product management best practices and strong technical acumen
