Community Engagement Manager

Overview

You will lead and shape engagement with teachers, learners, employers, FE leaders and other stakeholders to influence education and qualifications. Based in Manchester or London with hybrid work, you’ll build partnerships, run youth voice initiatives, and manage a grant-driven partnership programme. Your work supports a national education agenda and practical collaboration across schools, colleges, and industry. This role offers visibility at policy level and a chance to drive meaningful change in the education landscape.

Responsibilities

• Build and nurture relationships with employers, business leaders and industry stakeholders to inform skills and education discussions
• Develop and deliver engagement strategies for teachers via events, digital channels, and professional communities
• Lead youth voice initiatives and programmes that empower young people to influence education decisions
• Develop partnerships with universities, FE providers, and sector leaders to support qualification innovation and FE insights
• Oversee and deliver the Purpose Driven Partnership Programme, including grants allocation, relationship management, delivery, impact measurement and reporting

Key requirements

• Experience in education, community engagement, business engagement or related field
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills adaptable to different audiences
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to changing circumstances
• Genuine interest in education and confidence discussing issues affecting learners, educators and employers
• Experience managing partnership programmes, grants, stakeholder networks or community initiatives
