Financial Analyst

Overview

In this Financial Analyst role you will support strategic decision-making by turning data into actionable insights. You’ll partner with Finance and operations to improve financial performance and drive efficiency across the business. The position covers budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and long-term planning, with a focus on delivering clear recommendations to non-technical stakeholders. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape financial thinking in a collaborative environment with meaningful business impact.

Responsibilities

• Analyse financial and commercial performance across multiple areas to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Produce management reports and KPI analysis (revenue, gross margin, working capital, profitability)
• Perform variance analysis comparing actuals with budgets/forecasts/prior periods
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling for strategic decision-making
• Deliver pricing, margin, and profitability analysis for commercial decisions
• Analyse inventory and working capital performance and suggest efficiency improvements
• Support system enhancements and implement new reporting models
• Partner with Finance and operational teams to present insights to varied stakeholders

Key requirements

• Experience in a Financial Analyst, FP&A/Commercial Analyst, or management accounting role
• Strong understanding of P&L and balance sheet
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail
• Competent Excel skills (pivot tables and lookups)
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financial information
