Overview
Senior Manager in the Real Estate Corporate Tax Team, leading tax advisory and compliance for a portfolio of real estate clients, with a focus on REITs and real estate funds. You will manage complex tax projects, support M&A transactions, and coach junior staff while driving business development. The role combines client leadership, cross-team coordination, and strategic tax planning to support growth across London and the UK. This is a hands-on, client-facing position in a fast-growing practice with opportunities to influence the real estate tax agenda.

Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of real estate clients and deliver tax advisory and compliance services
- Lead transactional work, structuring, and due diligence for M&A activity, coordinating specialist teams
- Support Partners/Directors with business development for real estate clients
- Prepare and review REIT financial statements, PID calculations, and related trackers
- Provide tax planning across the portfolio (group planning, capital allowances, R&D credits, s455)
- Supervise and develop junior staff through delegation and coaching
- Collaborate with Partners to manage client accounts and build prospective opportunities
- Contribute to stand-alone tax advisory projects (acquisitions/disposals, cross-border matters)
- Ensure delivery of quality work and adherence to firm risk management procedures
- Attend training and contribute to team growth and knowledge sharing
Key requirements
- Solid real estate corporate tax background with REITs experience
- Experience with real estate funds and partnerships; non-resident landlords a plus
- Recent practical experience running a real estate corporate tax portfolio
- Ability to lead projects, manage teams, and work with Partners on advisory and compliance
- Strong client-facing and commercial skills; capable of marketing the firm’s capabilities
- Preferred CTA and/or ACA qualification
- Location in London or willingness to travel within the UK
