Senior Utility Surveyor

Overview

In this role, you will lead utility surveys across construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring accurate data capture and reliable results. You will work within a growing surveying team to plan, execute, and review geophysical surveys and drawings, upholding safety and industry standards. You’ll collaborate with clients and project teams to deliver high-quality survey information and mentor junior staff. This opportunity combines field leadership with hands-on technical work and a clear path for progression.

Responsibilities

• Lead utility surveys from site set-up through to completion
• Undertake EML and GPR surveys and accurately capture site data
• Produce and review high-quality survey information and drawings
• Work to relevant industry standards and maintain excellent H&S practices
• Support and mentor junior members of the surveying team
• Liaise confidently with clients, engineers and project teams

Key requirements

• strong practical experience
• excellent attention to detail
• passion for delivering quality survey data
• experience with PAS 128, GPR, EML and CAD (desirable)
• ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team
• Full UK Driving Licence
• live within commutable distance to Oxford or London
