Debt Capital Markets Analyst

Overview

In this role you will support the Debt Capital Markets desk in London by contributing to market updates, client proposals, and market analyses. You will help prepare presentations and documentation, and assist with quantitative analysis during DCM transactions. You will monitor political and economic developments in the UK and Emerging Markets to inform origination activities. You will provide operational and logistical support across transaction phases, working closely with senior bankers to drive execution. This role offers exposure to sovereign, corporate and FI borrowers within a leading European banking group committed to sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

• Prepare market updates and client proposals
• Analyze large economic/financial data and produce brief reports
• Assist senior staff in marketing presentations, evaluations, and supporting documents
• Assist with quantitative analysis in the operational phases of DCM transactions
• Support origination activities by tracking political/economic developments in relevant countries
• Provide operational and logistical support across transactions and prospect transactions

Key requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in the role
• Previous finance-related internships in Debt Capital Markets, Debt Advisory, Corporate Finance or similar (sell side preferred)
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word; Bloomberg knowledge is an advantage
• Knowledge of fixed income products
• Strong interest in global financial markets
• Bachelor degree in Finance related field
• Comprehensive knowledge of global financial markets
• Basic understanding of Accounting
• English proficiency (minimum B1 CEFR); knowledge of an additional Emerging Markets language is an advantage
• Completion or study of CFA (or similar qualifications) is an advantage
