Overview

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer on the Triage Intelligence team, you’ll shape end-to-end ML systems that interpret patient requests and support fast, informed triage decisions. You’ll partner with Data Scientists and clinicians to turn experiments into reusable platform components, deploying models at scale with observability and high availability. You’ll balance deep learning, NLP, and traditional methods to solve real clinical problems while driving reusable, cross-team tooling. Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end ML system design from data ingestion and training to deployment and monitoring
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists to convert experimental code into reusable library modules
  • Translate clinical and product goals into computational tasks and select appropriate tools
  • Turn one-off experiments into scalable platform capabilities adopted by other teams
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks (data leakage, hardware constraints) before production

Key requirements

  • Experience with ML techniques (Transformer NLP, Deep Learning, Tree-based methods, Bayesian modelling)
  • Track record of moving models from notebooks to production environments with data versioning and model serving
  • Proficiency in a production-grade language (Python, C#, or Go)
  • Experience defining offline and online evaluation metrics for models
  • Strong design and code review discipline to ensure robust, scalable solutions
  • Collaborative rigour in design and code reviews
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proactive risk identification and cross-team coordination
