DevOps Engineer – FinTech trading

Overview

As a DevOps Engineer at Quant Capital’s fintech client, you enable automated, scalable deployment and operation of a multi-tenant production environment. You’ll work closely with the core app team in an agile setting, contributing to CI/CD, infrastructure provisioning, and platform reliability. You’ll explore new technologies, prototype solutions, and help shape the architecture for fast, high-quality releases. This is a hands-on role for techies who enjoy challenging, cutting-edge problems and delivering measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Participate in developing new capabilities including continuous deployment, data centre affinity and workload management
• Improve build, performance, security, operating systems, networking and monitoring
• Work in an agile, scrum-based environment with frequent releases
• Contribute to end-to-end automation from OS install to UI and regression tests in CI
• Evangelise and prototype new technologies to shape the architecture
• Operate within a robust, multi-tenant production cluster and collaborate with the core app team

• Expertise in at least one discipline listed and ability to persuade others
• OS: Red Hat Linux, bare metal and virtual machines
• Provisioning: Puppet, Kickstart, RPM
• Languages: Bash, Ruby, Python, Java, Clojure
• Security: Kerberos, SELinux, LDAP
• Big Data: HDFS, Flink, Kafka
• Containers: Docker, KVM
• Schedulers: YARN, Kubernetes
