Subcontract Administrator

Overview

Join LMUK Space to handle subcontracting for advanced satellite programs supporting UK MoD. You will manage third-party deliverables, negotiate terms, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet cost, schedule, and quality targets. This role places you at the heart of a multi-functional supply chain, driving integrated supplier solutions in a mission-critical defense context. You’ll contribute to regional growth and cutting-edge space technology initiatives, including potential satellite manufacturing partnerships. A hands-on, accountable role with clear impact on national security and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Develop subcontract specifications and terms for procurement of specialized materials and services
• Prepare bid packages and conduct bidders’ conferences
• Develop evaluation criteria and analyze proposals
• Negotiate subcontract provisions and select/recommend subcontractors
• Write subcontract packages for review and prepare awards; administer subcontracts
• Negotiate changes to subcontracts and coordinate with contracts administration/purchasing
• Possibly sign supplier agreements and purchase orders within authority
• Interface with external suppliers and PMO; support third-party deliverables for programs
• Collaborate to create integrated supply solutions with program management, customers, and suppliers

Key requirements

• Strong procurement/commercial, financial control, and analytical skills
• Experience in multi-functional organisations and achieving business goals
• Experience on UK MoD programmes or similar
• Ability to operate under tight schedules in a dynamic environment
• Confident self-starter with ability to innovate and work both independently and in a team
• Ability to follow established processes and procedures
• UK Citizenship; current SC clearance or ability to attain
• Willingness to travel (UK and abroad)
