Senior Mechanical Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer in a specialist consultancy, you will shape design strategy for mechanical installations on major building projects. You’ll lead project teams, mentor junior engineers, and ensure successful delivery while maintaining strong client relationships. You will translate client briefs into robust designs, calculations, drawings, and schedules that meet relevant standards. This role offers exposure to diverse sectors within a collaborative, high-performance environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design strategy and conceptual design for mechanical installations in major building projects
• Perform design calculations for mechanical installations
• Create design drawings, diagrams, schematics, specifications, and schedules
• Ensure designs comply with British Standards, Building Regulations, and other relevant standards
• Lead a team to coordinate and deliver projects, including meetings, scheduling, and reviews
• Manage client and design team relationships and interpret the project brief
