Overview

In this role you shape pricing strategy and financial performance for an international health portfolio. You’ll partner with underwriting, finance, product, and commercial teams to deliver data-driven actuarial insights and robust pricing decisions. You’ll lead complex analyses, develop models, and advise senior stakeholders, touching both medical and non-medical products. The role offers exposure to strategic initiatives and international markets, making a measurable impact on growth and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead pricing reviews across medical and non-medical products using claims, utilization, premium, membership, provider and expense data
  • Develop pricing assumptions, profitability assessments, scenario analyses, and business cases for new business, renewals and strategic decisions
  • Design, enhance and maintain pricing models, tools, and methodologies with governance, testing and documentation
  • Identify opportunities to improve pricing processes via automation and analytics (Excel, Alteryx, SQL, Power BI, Python)
  • Collaborate with Underwriting, Finance, Product and Commercial teams to support pricing strategy across international health portfolio
  • Deliver portfolio and client profitability reviews, monitor claims trends and present insights to senior stakeholders
  • Support pricing transformation projects, market opportunities and evolution of pricing capabilities across International Health

Key requirements

  • Experience in actuarial pricing, insurance pricing, or related analytical environment
  • Progress towards or completion of a recognised actuarial qualification
  • Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics or related quantitative discipline
  • Strong experience in pricing, experience analysis, profitability assessment, claims trend analysis, financial modelling, and business case development
  • Experience with healthcare/m medical insurance products
  • Advanced Excel skills for complex models
  • Experience with analytical/automation tools (Alteryx, SQL, Power BI, Python)
  • Understanding of actuarial modelling, governance, control frameworks and risk management
  • Experience partnering with underwriting, finance, product or commercial teams
  • Ability to communicate complex actuarial concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
  • International organisations, global portfolios, or multi-currency experience (advantageous)
