Overview
In this role you will lead system, network and cybersecurity implementations for HVDC projects, shaping secure automation environments for power transmission. You will design and validate secure architectures, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support customers to meet stringent cyber standards. The opportunity combines embedded software and hardware in a real-time platform to enable the green energy transition. You will contribute to secure, scalable solutions for global energy infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Lead system, network and cybersecurity implementations in HVDC projects
- Build and secure the infrastructure of networks and systems for operations
- Define and ensure cybersecurity levels across systems and networks
- Develop architecture and functional descriptions for cyber security solutions in HVDC
- Prepare and execute test case scenarios and participate in factory/system testing (FST)
- Support projects by resolving cybersecurity function issues
- Coordinate with stakeholders across business units to optimise cyber security solutions
- Design and develop secured SCADA network architecture with advanced security features
- Monitor and validate third-party security patches to maintain reliability
- Implement device- and vendor-provided security features
- Establish controls to prevent backdoors into the SCADA network
- Implement internal and external intrusion detection in the SCADA network
- Perform VAPT and technical audits of SCADA devices and networks
- Conduct physical security surveys of remote sites connected to SCADA
- Maintain test environment with updated software/hardware for future use
- Backup/image handling on servers/workstations and patch management
- Identify and pursue opportunities for continuous improvement
- Collaborate with customers to meet requirements and standards
- Share best practices with engineering teams across projects
- Travel opportunities to build power stations worldwide
Key requirements
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
- Fluent English communication skills
- Experience with network equipment (firewalls, switches, GPS clocks) and redundant network designs
- Microsoft client and server OS (virtual and bare metal)
- Experience with Active Directory
- Experience with databases and high-availability solutions
- Experience with scripting and automation technologies
- Experience with port, vulnerability and malware scanners
- Knowledge of intrusion detection systems and SIEM concepts (Security Information and Event Monitoring) is a plus
- SQL/Database Management
- Experience in SCADA projects is an advantage
- HMI development (Intouch) experience an asset
- Basic knowledge of IEEE/IEC electrical standards
- Basic knowledge of C/C++ is an added advantage
