Medical Science Liaison – Neuroscience

Overview

In this field-based Medical Science Liaison role, you will be a scientific partner to healthcare professionals, helping shape medical strategy through education and evidence generation. You’ll cover the London region, collaborating with UK & Ireland and global teams to ensure scientific excellence, integrity, and compliance. You will drive high-quality medical exchanges, support investigator-sponsored and company studies, and contribute to medical education and publications. This is a key link between scientific insight and cross-functional teams to advance Ipsen’s neuroscience portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain peer-to-peer scientific relationships with Thought Leaders, HCPs, and medical experts
• Develop and execute territory-level stakeholder engagement plans aligned to therapy and business needs
• Deliver fair, balanced, and compliant scientific exchange on disease areas, approved products, and pipeline assets
• Capture, document, and communicate high-quality medical insights
• Deliver scientific and educational presentations (reactive and proactive)
• Support and organise advisory boards, investigator meetings, and scientific exchange forums
• Contribute to medical education initiatives, publications, posters, abstracts, and manuscripts
• Coordinate unsolicited Investigator-Sponsored Studies (ISS) from concept to publication
• Support company-sponsored studies, post-marketing research, registries, and real-world evidence projects
• Engage investigators and support site feasibility assessments and scientific discussions
• Contribute to the UK & Ireland Annual Medical Plan
• Provide scientific expertise to Commercial and Market Access colleagues while maintaining clear non-promotional boundaries
• Participate in Integrated Brand Teams and regional account planning
• Ensure compliance with Ipsen SOPs, pharmacovigilance requirements, and ABPI Code
• Timely reporting of adverse events and product quality complaints
• Accurate documentation of all activities in Ipsen systems

Key requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Medical Science Liaison
• Strong scientific knowledge enabling credible, non-promotional engagement
• Experience within Medical Affairs, clinical research, or related scientific roles
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong understanding of pharma compliance and medical governance
• Degree in Life Sciences or a related discipline
• Fluent written and spoken English (scientific English)
