Overview

As a Senior Site Manager, you will lead on a £16m steel-framed industrial project (distribution centre) for a growing main contractor. You’ll oversee site operations, safety and quality, and coordinate with subcontractors to meet schedule. The role sits within a dynamic team delivering new builds, refurbishments and fit-outs across sectors. This is an opportunity to drive site performance on fast-paced projects and contribute to the company’s ongoing growth and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day site activities and ensure project milestones are met
• Drive health and safety, quality, and compliance across the site
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and the design team
• Manage programme, logistics, and site logistics planning
• Monitor cost control, progress reporting, and risk management
• Enforce QA/QC processes and handover preparations
• Mentor site staff and liaise with the Project Manager
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

Key requirements

• Degree or construction qualification preferred
• Track record with a reputable main contractor
• Experience on new build industrial and commercial projects
• Steel frame construction experience
• Proven ability on fast-paced projects
• SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid
