Overview
In this role you will devise and execute a strategic engagement framework with UK defence bodies (National Armaments Director Group and DE&S) to secure major programmes. You will build a senior defence procurement network and align requirements with Helsing’s commercial priorities. You’ll translate complex procurement landscapes into clear strategies that support Helsing’s mission while bridging defence and technology cultures. The opportunity combines strategic influence, cross‑sector collaboration, and high‑impact programme outcomes in a fast-moving defence tech company.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement a comprehensive engagement strategy with National Armaments Director Group and DE&S to win major UK defence programmes
- Cultivate and activate a senior network across UK/allied defence procurement bodies to align requirements and timelines early
- Work with Campaign Leads and senior leadership to align procurement strategy with commercial objectives and mission priorities
- Represent Helsing at senior forums and industry events as a credible voice across procurement and technology communities
- Develop internal frameworks to navigate MoD procurement cycles, reducing friction and increasing readiness for major opportunities
Key requirements
- Track record of shaping or delivering major UK defence procurement programmes at senior level, with demonstrable outcomes
- Established network within DE&S/ National Armaments Director Group or equivalent bodies
- Experience at the interface of government procurement and industry with credibility
- Ability to translate complex procurement landscapes into clear strategic priorities for technical and commercial leadership
- Contributions to development of defence engagement strategies including stakeholder mapping and relationship management
