Overview

In this Commercial Executive role, you will lead strategic, high-value deals and shape innovative commercial constructs that align customer outcomes with Microsoft objectives. You’ll influence senior stakeholders, orchestrate cross-functional teams, and drive deals from inception to close in a fast-paced UK market. You will partner with Public Sector or Financial Services accounts to accelerate transformation and sustainable growth. This is a high-visibility role that combines negotiation, strategy, and governance to deliver strong business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial strategy and negotiation of complex, high-value opportunities
  • Design innovative commercial constructs addressing customer challenges while maximizing outcomes
  • Serve as trusted advisor to customers and Microsoft stakeholders with data-driven insights
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in deal making with creative approaches to commercial and contractual challenges
  • Communicate effectively with C-suite/stakeholders to explain structures, investments, and terms
  • Ensure deal governance, compliance, and closing accountability across teams
  • Collaborate across Sales, Finance, Legal, Deal Desk, Operations, and Partners to shape solutions
  • Build customer-centric commercial strategies aligned to transformation goals and value realization across engagements

Key requirements

  • Several years’ experience in commercial sales, negotiation, deal shaping, or opportunity orchestration
  • Proven track record negotiating complex commercial agreements that enable customer transformation and growth
  • Experience designing and optimizing commercial constructs via financial modelling and scenario analysis
  • Demonstrated success leading opportunities from inception to close with governance and stakeholder alignment
  • Ability to influence senior executives and communicate compelling commercial recommendations
