Overview
In this role you will design power systems for global data centre projects, partnering with cross-functional teams to support hyperscale, colocation, and critical infrastructure facilities. You will contribute to the electrical design and power analysis, shaping reliable, scalable infrastructure. The role offers hybrid working from Manchester and permanent employment with a focus on impactful, technically challenging projects.
Responsibilities
- Support power system design for global data centre projects
- Perform power system analysis to ensure reliability and efficiency
- Utilise industry software tools (ETAP, SKM, DigSILENT, POWERFactory) for modeling and validation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across design and construction phases
- Contribute to critical infrastructure requirements for hyperscale to colocation facilities
- Operate within a permanent, hybrid Manchester-based role
Key requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Chartered Engineer status with a recognised institution
- Experience in power system design and power system analysis
- Experience with ETAP, SKM, DigSILENT, POWERFactory or similar tools
- Experience in the data centre industry or critical infrastructure projects
