Data Center Engineer

Overview

As Data Center Engineer you will maintain and evolve DAZN’s physical and virtual infrastructure across global data centers and POPs. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, scalable operations in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. Your role blends hands-on engineering with strategic capacity and DR planning to support a world-class streaming platform. This is a hands-on yet impact-focused opportunity to shape DAZN’s infrastructure at scale.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server, storage, networking, and cabling infrastructure
• Perform preventative maintenance and hardware repairs in data center environments
• Manage data center assets, capacity, and utilisation using DCIM tools
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, connectivity, storage, power, and cooling issues
• Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity initiatives
• Monitor capacity and forecast future requirements
• Ensure compliance with security standards, procedures, and data center regulations
• Maintain accurate documentation, configuration records, and incident reports

Key requirements

• Previous Data Center Engineer or similar infrastructure experience
• Strong experience with physical server infrastructure, storage, networking, and cabling
• Advanced troubleshooting across hardware, TCP/IP, power, cooling, Linux, and Windows
• Experience supporting data center operations, processes, reporting, and continuous improvement
• Excellent communication skills to document and explain technical concepts clearly
