Logistics Coordinator

Overview

In this role you will coordinate drivers and subcontractors, monitor transport operations, and support customer service to keep the network running smoothly. You will produce daily transport issue reports, ensure temperature compliance, and help finalize routes using the in-house system. You’ll work closely with drivers and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain service quality. This is an operational role at Feltham focused on reliable, timely deliveries and compliant, safety-conscious practices.

Responsibilities

• Daily co-ordination and monitoring of company drivers and subcontractors; develop strong working relationships with internal departments
• Provide support to customer service on special requirements
• Produce daily reports detailing transport issues within the network
• Brief and debrief drivers
• Ensure temperature compliance by reviewing journey ticket printouts
• Collate fuel and wages information
• Assist with operational telephone calls
• Liaise with trunk drivers to report ETAs and departures from collection points
• Ensure routes are finalized on Polar track (in-house database)
• Carry out periodic spot checks of driver vehicles
• Report any vehicle or fridge defects to the fleet manager
• Ad-hoc driver sickness cover and induction training for new drivers
