Principal Civil Engineer – Infrastructure

Overview

In this role you lead the technical delivery of civil infrastructure projects from concept to construction. You collaborate with clients, regulators, utilities and multidisciplinary teams to shape infrastructure solutions that benefit communities. You will mentor junior engineers and help grow the Civil Infrastructure group. The position sits within our London-based team, contributing to high-profile developments across London and beyond. Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery, design approval, and execution of civil infrastructure projects
• Influence scheme development through close collaboration with clients and stakeholders
• Deliver innovative highway and drainage solutions from concept through construction
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to achieve integrated outcomes
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture
• Contribute to the growth of the Civil Infrastructure team and wider business

Key requirements

• MEng or BEng and Chartered Engineer status
• Significant experience in highway and drainage infrastructure design
• Proven track record delivering projects from concept through detailed design and construction
• Skilled in coordinating multidisciplinary solutions and engaging with clients, regulators, utilities and local authorities
• Proficient in Civil 3D and MicroDrainage; utility coordination experience advantageous
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including mentoring and managing project delivery and workflows
