Executive Headteacher

Overview

In this role you will provide strategic leadership across the education trust, driving pupil achievement and teaching quality. You will work with Headteachers, staff and governors to shape trust-wide initiatives and foster collaboration. You’ll ensure alignment with safeguarding, Ofsted expectations and statutory requirements while representing the trust regionally. This is a mission-driven opportunity to influence culture, improve outcomes, and share best practices across multiple schools.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across the trust with clear vision, priorities and measurable outcomes
• Direct and oversee school improvement initiatives aligned with Ofsted, DfE and safeguarding requirements
• Foster partnerships with Headteachers, staff, governors, parents and external stakeholders to drive excellence
• Represent the trust at regional and national levels, contributing to audits, networks and shared improvement projects
• Champion trust values and embed a culture of continuous improvement

Key requirements

• Experienced Headteacher or Executive Headteacher
• Proven experience in a Multi-Academy Trust environment
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and NPQH (or working towards/existing equivalent)
• Deep understanding of the Ofsted framework
