Senior Civil Engineer – Wastewater

Overview

In this role, you will join the Water Team in Bristol to deliver multi-disciplinary water projects from inception to delivery. You will work with engineers, modellers, and environmental specialists to create feasible designs that meet standards and client needs. You’ll mentor junior engineers and contribute to a portfolio spanning wastewater, water treatment, and flood risk schemes. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver projects for UK and overseas clients
• Produce feasibility studies, outline and detailed designs, and technical specifications
• Ensure design compliance with standards and regulations; provide interdisciplinary technical input
• Liaise with clients to develop scope, proposals, and report on project progress
• Mentor junior team members and support their technical development
• Contribute to a diverse portfolio from concept to completion within a water framework

Key requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Proven senior-level experience in the water sector
• Chartered/Incorporated status or working towards chartered (ICE, CIWEM)
• Experience with engineering assessments, options appraisals, calculations, and economic appraisals
• Experience of outline/detailed design, preferably for wastewater, water treatment, flood risk management, or drainage schemes
