Overview

In this Content Designer role, you’ll craft accessible, user-centred content for government and private sector digital services. You work with a multidisciplinary team to understand problems, run user research, and shape content that aligns with business goals and user needs. You will influence stakeholders with evidence-based content decisions and contribute to design systems and governance. Responsibilities

  • design content that makes complex concepts easy to understand
  • collaborate with user-centred design colleagues and stakeholders through agile service design
  • participate in user research and use qualitative and quantitative evidence to inform content and journeys
  • contribute to prototype development and user testing to improve interactions
  • guide senior stakeholders to produce user-centred content using a solid evidence base
  • ensure content meets statutory/legal requirements while remaining accessible to broad audiences
  • support and coach teams in user-centred design and agile methodologies
  • contribute to clients’ design systems and set content design standards
  • understand and apply Government Service Standard and the role of content designers

Key requirements

  • experience designing content that meets user needs
  • ability to work with user-centred design colleagues through discovery to live
  • participation in user research and data-informed design decisions
  • experience with prototype development and user testing
  • ability to influence senior stakeholders with evidence-based content
  • ability to ensure accessibility and inclusivity in content

  • excellent verbal/written communication and facilitation skills
