Software Engineer – Polyglot / Any Tech

Overview

In this role you will contribute to a new Quantitative Research and Analytics Desk at a leading algo-trading firm. You will work across a polyglot stack to implement both strategy and infrastructure for high-performance trading engines. You will collaborate with top engineers to build distributed, scalable systems and push the boundaries of CS fundamentals in finance. This is a technology-driven, open source–oriented environment with opportunities to explore innovations in a Technology Innovations Hub. You will have a meaningful impact on critical trading systems and technical foundations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement algo trading engines and components
• Contribute to the design and evolution of distributed, scalable systems
• Work across a polyglot tech stack to deliver robust software
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research into production
• Engage with the technology community and open source initiatives

Key requirements

• Strong programming skills in any technology and a polyglot mindset
• Strong educational background in Computer Science, Maths or any STEM-related degree
• Interest in CS fundamentals and building distributed, robust systems

• Proficiency in multiple languages (e.g., .Net Core, Python, C++, F#, Java, Kotlin, Rust, Clojure)
• Experience with building highly distributed, scalable, low-latency systems
• Exposure to cloud technologies
• Open source involvement or culture
