Contentious Probate Solicitor – Cardiff – 0-4 Years PQE

Overview

In this role you will manage a caseload of contentious probate matters within a large, supportive team known for high-quality outcomes. You will advise on will, trust and estate disputes, including Inheritance Act claims and challenges to will validity, while contributing to business development and knowledge sharing. The position offers exposure to varied, high-value work, including HNW matters, with a clear pathway for skill development and career progression. You will work closely with cross-functional colleagues to deliver excellent client care and impact in the probate dispute space.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of contentious probate matters
• Advise clients on will, trust and estate related disputes
• Handle Inheritance Act claims and challenges to will validity
• Assist with breach of trust matters and executor/trustee removal applications
• Work collaboratively within a large, supportive team
• Contribute to business development internally and externally
• Share knowledge and best practice across the team
• Progress matters efficiently while maintaining excellent client care

Key requirements

• 0-4 years’ PQE
• Experience in contentious probate
• Strong technical ability and drafting skills
• Ability to manage client relationships effectively
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Strong IT proficiency
