Utilities Project Manager

Overview

In this Utilities Project Manager role for a UK civil contractor, you will oversee utilities-focused projects, driving delivery on time, cost and quality. You will lead a high-performing team, manage risks, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will monitor progress, forecast costs, and ensure commercially sound outputs. Based in London with occasional site travel, this permanent role offers the chance to shape delivery of major civil/utilities schemes.

Responsibilities

• Manage risks and opportunities across the project life cycle
• Drive continuous improvement within the team and wider group
• Lead and develop a high performing team to deliver outputs efficiently and commercially
• Establish and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Provide progress reporting against time, cost, and quality
• Oversee commercial management and forecasting
• Deliver project outcomes within time, quality, and cost constraints
• Act as main contact with contractors and suppliers to secure best-value solutions

Key requirements

• Experience on large projects
• Supervisory/leadership experience
• Knowledge of traditional construction activities
• Degree level education preferred
• Permanent role only (must be seeking permanent)
