As Senior Transport Manager for Wales, you help keep the BBC moving by safeguarding fleet safety and compliance while supporting world-class content production. You’ll work with cross‑functional colleagues to solve complex logistics challenges and drive operational excellence. Responsibilities

• Oversee forward planning and coordination of vehicle maintenance and compliance across transport bases
• Ensure all fleet vehicles remain roadworthy, efficient, and cost effective
• Liaise with suppliers to secure timely, high quality, and value-driven services
• Act as named Transport Manager on the Operator Licence for relevant traffic areas
• Collaborate with operational leaders to meet changing production and broadcasting requirements

Key requirements

• Strong experience managing statutory compliance within complex or regulated transport environments
• Proven ability to operate strategically while solving operational problems hands on
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to tailor complex information for varied stakeholders
• Experience managing regulated vehicle operating centres and driver hours frameworks
• Demonstrable practical experience ensuring maintenance and roadworthiness of large vehicles
