Early Years Educator

Overview

In this role you provide a safe, caring environment and support learning for children aged 9 months to 5 years. You will plan age-appropriate activities, monitor development, and collaborate with colleagues and parents to support each child’s wellbeing. You help keep the nursery clean, safe and welcoming, contributing to a positive, nurturing culture. This is a hands-on role in a supportive team focused on children’s growth and confidence.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, caring and supportive environment for children
• Plan and support activities that promote learning and development
• Meet each child’s individual needs and support their wellbeing
• Follow hygiene, toileting, mealtime and personal care routines
• Observe and monitor children’s progress and development
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe nursery environment
• Work effectively with colleagues and communicate with parents/carers
• Follow nursery policies, safeguarding and health and safety requirements

Key requirements

• OFSTED-approved Level 2+ childcare qualification
