Overview
In this role you will support the delivery of international and large corporate tax work from Belfast, focusing on cross-border assignments across a growing global network. You’ll contribute to projects like transfer pricing, CFCs, corporate residence, and tax governance, while building client relationships and coordinating workstreams. Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of international and large corporate tax services for clients across various industries
- Assist with international tax projects, including transfer pricing, thin capitalisation, CFCs, corporate residence, cross-border transactions and restructuring
- Support services for large corporate clients, including Corporate Interest Restriction reviews and tax governance assignments
- Undertake technical research, analyse legislation and guidance, and prepare concise conclusions for review by senior team
- Prepare high-quality working papers, calculations, reports and client deliverables to agreed scope and deadlines
- Coordinate workstreams and manage priorities across engagements, keeping senior members updated
- Identify issues and escalate complex or high-risk matters promptly
- Act as day-to-day client contact with progress updates and appropriate oversight
- Build effective working relationships with clients, colleagues and cross-border advisers
- Comply with engagement, quality and risk management procedures throughout assignments
- Manage time and budgets, supporting accurate billing and efficient delivery
- Stay updated on UK and international tax changes and share knowledge with colleagues
- Provide informal guidance to junior team members where appropriate
Key requirements
- Qualified ACA/ACCA and/or CTA, or working towards a relevant professional qualification with practical experience
- Experience in corporate tax, international tax or a related tax role in a practice or professional services environment
- Solid grounding in UK corporation tax with a developing international tax focus
- Strong analytical and research skills to identify issues and develop practical solutions
- Good project management, organisation and ability to manage competing deadlines
- Proactive, able to work independently and escalate when needed
- Strong written and verbal communication, able to explain technical matters clearly
- Ability to build trusted client and colleague relationships in a collaborative team
