Overview
As Commercial Planning Manager you will own the central planning machine for long-range, annual, and quarterly targets, building a scalable commission framework across countries. You’ll design governance and incentives that drive useful sales behavior while remaining economically sound. You’ll partner with country revenue ops, sales leaders, and People to ensure reliable, auditable monthly commission cycles. This role offers meaningful impact in aligning pricing, incentives, and performance with Teya’s mission to support small local businesses.

Responsibilities
- Design commission models across channels aligned with the commercial strategy and unit economics
- Backtest plans using historical cohorts and pricing to assess CAC, monetisation, payback and retention before rollout
- Own governance for compensation changes, policies, controls, versioning, and clear communication
- Build reporting to monitor compensation outcomes by channel, cohort and country and surface distortions or gaming risks
- Coordinate rollout with country teams, Finance, payroll and operations; translate design into practical rules and ensure the monthly commission cycle is reliable
- Collaborate with Pricing and other stakeholders to align incentives with business goals
Key requirements
- Background in sales compensation, revenue operations, strategic finance, commercial operations, or consulting with exposure to pricing, incentives or GTM design
- Strong analytical and modelling skills to build, backtest, and forecast incentive schemes
- Commercial judgement to design incentives that drive desired rep behavior without distortion
- Structured and disciplined approach to documentation, change control, and maintaining a stable framework
- Excellent communication to explain compensation plans to sales reps and CFOs
