Safety Health & Environmental (SHE) Advisor

Overview

In this role you drive health and safety across Miller Homes’ Scotland East region, shaping and supervising regional SHE policies to protect employees and contractors. You will partner with regional management to embed best practices, develop safety capability, and pursue continuous improvement. This opportunity suits a proactive safety leader who wants to influence culture, compliance, and performance at scale within a construction context.

Pay / Benefits

• Competitive basic salary
• 26 days annual leave + public holidays + birthday off
• Company car or car allowance of 5,500 per annum

Responsibilities

• Monitor, develop and implement SHE systems to ensure high standards of safety, health and environmental performance and compliance
• Provide support and advice to the Region and represent Regional Management in discussions with employees and external organisations on SHE matters
• Support the development of Health & Safety management capability within the Region through skills and knowledge improvement
• Identify opportunities for improvement and best practice in Health & Safety management

Key requirements

• Experience in a similar SHE role in construction/housebuilding
• NEBOSH certification (or equivalent)
• Experience in audits, accident investigation and liaison with statutory bodies
