Identity and Access Management (IAM) Cybersecurity Consultant – Spike UK

Overview

As an IAM Cybersecurity Consultant, you design, implement and manage identity solutions to secure access to systems and applications. You enforce authentication, authorization, and identity governance to protect credentials and prevent unauthorized access across diverse identity types. You will help build robust, scalable controls aligned with security requirements. This role offers the chance to shape IAM architecture within a mission-driven, vendor-independent security team. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to advance a security-oriented culture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain IAM solutions (SSO, MFA, PAM)
• Manage identity lifecycles: provisioning, de-provisioning, RBAC
• Implement identity federation, directory services, and identity governance
• Monitor and respond to identity-related security incidents
• Collaborate on compliance with standards like NIST, ISO 27001, Zero Trust
• Automate IAM processes to improve efficiency and security
• Conduct regular access reviews and perform audits to strengthen controls

Key requirements

• Hands-on experience with IAM platforms (advantageous)
• Understanding of authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML, Kerberos) (beneficial)
• Familiarity with cloud IAM solutions (AWS IAM, Azure AD, Google Cloud IAM) (advantageous)
• Exposure to IAM concepts including identity governance, authentication, authorization, and secure access practices
• Strong IT and security foundational knowledge with interest in cybersecurity and identity technologies
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CIAM, Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals) would be advantageous
