Learning Support Assistants

Overview

Inspire learning through creativity and care as a Learning Support Assistant with a music focus. You will support pupils across school settings, using music to engage and adapt to individual needs. The role involves 1:1 and small-group support, assisting teachers with inclusive lessons, and fostering confidence and positive behavior. Responsibilities

• Support pupils in lessons and adapt to individual needs
• Use creativity and musical understanding to engage students
• Provide 1:1 and small group support, including learners with additional needs
• Assist teachers in delivering inclusive, accessible lessons
• Encourage confidence, participation, and positive behaviour through supportive relationships
• Help create a calm, structured, and positive learning environment

Key requirements

• Background or strong interest in music (performance, study, or teaching experience desirable)
• Experience with children or young people beneficial but not essential
• Patient, empathetic, and encouraging approach
• Good communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
• Willingness to support pupils with a range of learning needs
