Software Architect – Telecoms

Overview

As Software Architect you will own the technical vision and architectural strategy for the telecom product portfolio, guiding cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions. You will bridge product requirements with technical execution, balancing innovation with reliability. You’ll drive architectural roadmaps, engage with product, R&D, and customers to align on technical value, and champion AI, automation, and cloud-native evolution. This role offers impact through scalable systems and shaping the company’s innovation agenda.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical architecture, system design, and tech stack selection
• Lead and mentor global engineering teams on architectural patterns and standards
• Inform investment trade-offs by evaluating technical debt and infra costs
• Ensure technical viability and high-quality delivery of product releases
• Define and implement engineering frameworks, patterns, and development standards
• Translate market trends (AI, cloud-native, automation) into scalable systems
• Collaborate with Product and R&D to deliver clear technical value propositions
• Engage key customers to understand integration constraints and operational pain points
• Establish governance, code quality baselines, and design review processes
• Optimize platform design for performance, resource utilization, and speed to market

Key requirements

• Leadership experience in software architecture or senior engineering leadership roles
• Proven experience defining technical strategy for complex, distributed R&D teams
• Track record of aligning technical design with business outcomes and budgets
• Experience designing complex, high-throughput, platform-based or telecom solutions
• Ability to design globally distributed, highly available systems
• Deep experience with Agile development and CI environments
• Multi-year experience in the telecommunications industry with data processing workflows
